2024 McMinnville Sunrise Rotary Wine Raffle for Charitable Causes!
Our 2024 raffle will be held May 29, 2024. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets will be sold nine weeks in advance for $5 dollars each or $20 for 5 tickets, with a limit of 2,000 tickets. There will be multiple winners – 9 prizes – one case each, of select wines (12 assorted bottles).
Your support will help the McMinnville Sunrise Rotary Club continue to provide and expand some of our programs and projects:
- Chemeketa Scholarships – each year we grant at least three scholarships to adults with a financial need and who live in Yamhill County. The scholarship is for 75% of the annual tuition for a second year or third year of their program. We consider these “second chance” scholarships for adults. Examples of our recipients include:
- Cody – current firefighter getting a degree to become a paramedic.
- Jared – who returned to school to become an automotive technician.
- Dominque – who returned to school to pursue a degree in nursing.
- Kevin – a person experiencing houselessness pursuing a certificate in alcohol and drug counseling.
- YCAP – This year we received a matching grant to assist with exterior improvements to the new McMinnville navigation center, Anydoor Place, which will provide supportive services for people who are experiencing homelessness.
- Community grants to non-profits with specific equipment or one-time financials needs.
- Park projects – we love to plant trees in our community and we currently help maintain the trails at Airport Park.
The Sunrise Rotary Foundation of McMinnville is a 501(c ) 3 non-profit organization. If you do not want to participate in the wine raffle, we would gladly accept donations.
